In my AP Language and Composition class we have been spending a lot of time talking about rhetorical devices. One of my mom’s friends pointed me to this really nice book: “Word Hero” by Jay Heinrich. During winter break, I got a chance to catch up on this book.
The book provides a fun, comprehensive overview of techniques to craft memorable words and expressions that stand out. I have tons of notes, but I decided to compile all of the devices given by Heinrich in the form of an infographic. As Heinrich mentions, together these rhetorical devices can help create memorable writing that lives forever! Hope you find it useful!
